Haley Donovan (Hales for short) is an educator, writer, and artist. She teaches first grade during the academic year, and has co-facilitated professional and personal development workshops in San Francisco and Portland about interacting with fear of failure to leverage success.
Haley was born and raised in San Francisco, and is a fierce advocate of proactive problem solving for homelessness, education, and mental health issues. She currently resides in San Francisco, but has done stints all over the globe including Mexico, France, Italy, and D.C.
When she’s not teaching or writing, she enjoys spending time outdoors, street photography, frequenting local restaurants and cafes, and having socially distant picnics in Golden Gate Park.
She holds a BA in Communication from the University of California at Davis, and an MA in Education from San Francisco State University.
Haley finds it extremely surreal to write about herself in the third person.
